Child Obesity is a big problem int the UK and growing. According to recent research in the UK 25% of boys and 33% of girls between the ages of 2 and 18 are obsese, with little sign that it is reducing.
Experts are now saying that we run the risk now that children today have a lower life expenancy than their parents, which I find very concerning.
A reecent study from the Peninsula Medical School in Plymouth, revealed that:
With these startling statistics in mind I have launched our weight loss kick start programme for children, teenagers and their families. This is an intensive 2 weeks on the Costa del Sol to look at where life style changes can be made to start on the journey to a healthy lifestyle.

- three quarters of parents failed to recognise their child was overweight.
- 33 percent of mums and 57 percent of dads considered their child’s weight to be ‘about right’ when, in fact, they were obese.
- one in ten parents expressed some concern about their child being underweight when they were actually a normal, healthy weight.
